Default iPhone, iOS 11 Dension 500SBT issue

For those of you with our Dension 500SBT and iPhones using iOS 11, you may find an issue with bluetooth connecting and disconnecting with your phone.

The issue is iOS 11, and Dension is working with Apple, and Dension's internal software development team is developing a workaround.

If you are experiencing this issue, please turn off phonebook sync'ing, and that should resolve the disconnect. Once new firmware is updated or Apple gets this resolved, we'll post an update.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming...

I have always had some issue with the phone not connecting for talking to callers, even if I initiate or don’t initiate the call. Is this the issue you are talking about?

Always has has worked fine with streaming music. Slightly annoying to have to choose the Bluetooth source every time as I keep an iPad hooked up to it.

Not the same issue...this just happened with iOS 11 release in the past few weeks.

Can you check the dips on your Dension to see they are 1-2-5-6 up/on, 3-4 down?

And do you know what firmware you have? 57 is the most stable. Email for more:

iOS 11 SUCKS, it has freaking slowed down my iPhone, most apps crash or don't work and generally there's no benefit for the troubles it's caused. I am really hating Apple these days!

Dips are set just as you say. My firmware is 56 though. Let me see how to update it.

Without going all conspiracy-theory, Bluetooth is supposedly an industry standard. BT connectivity should be a top priority with OS developers, and a fairly simple one to manage. I have 3 different cars with 3 different head units, and the 997 has a Tranzit Blu-HF. All worked fine with my iPhone 5 through 10.2. Got an SE with 10.3 and all hell broke loose. Finally got it all to work. Haven't upgraded to 11 and not planning to.

Update info sent, try it and report back when you can.

Anyone else using 56 or earlier should be using 57 (most stable) for now.

I updated my iPhone 7 to iOS 11.3 today and now whenever I am opening the Dension DAB control app it is simply loading a blank screen on the startup and crashing itself automatically after a while. Any idea to get the app working again?

Update: Fortunately the app had been running smooth once again upon an uninstall and reinstallation
