Finally Joined the Club
51 years and I finally joined the club. Flying to VA to pick up my 2005 997 Carrera Coupe. Lots of research and test drives created a short must have list: Automatic, Full Leather, Navigation, 997 and a great color combo. I finally found the perfect car. Black on black with no mods and very well taken care of. 55k miles and I feel like I got a great deal at $32,500.
Automatic is the option I didn't expect to want but this is a daily driver and the auto simply made that all the more pleasurable. IMO, 99% of all drivers can't get their car to perform such that the manual is really that much faster anyway. I will very rarely if ever track the car so automatic it is.
Now the trick is Virginia to Utah without any tickets. I will be smiling the entire way.

So take RT-33 across Virginia on your way back, its great. Two lanes of mountain roads, then go to WV and hit I-64 across and over. Do Harrisburg Va to Buchannon WV. I see you have full leather, thats nice to get. Not many have it.

Congrats. Hard to go wrong with a well sorted and checked out $30,000 997. You'll now be living the black car way of life - it's not just a color LOL
You'll think I'm crazy, but Turtle Wax Jet Black detail box forward $20 is what I've found to work the best - better than all those high dollar boutique polishes, waxes, sealers, etc.

I clay bar the car, then use the paint cleaner/prep, then the wax, then finish it with a quick spray of Optimum Opti-Seal. This 914 repaint is 20 years old and I just cleaned it up recently for a 914 event in GA using this Turtle Wax kit (997 content is in the background to keep it pertinent to this forum )
Used the same thing on my 928 previously
