Yep, for sure. Hope he and his family are alright. GT3Tek will probably come post something now about sending it when OP has no power for weeks or months.

I considered their lip and asked for feed back about it in one of their sale threads because it is so cheap. I ultimately passed on it because it is so cheap. You typically get what you pay for and poor customer service seems to correlate, more often than not, with cheap prices.

Agreed on all points, but again bad customer service =/= "scam"

Let's face it, the auto industry isn't the most buttoned up in terms of business practices or customer service. I know plenty of shops/owners that are the best at their craft, but lack any trace of business acumen (and even in some cases fundamental ethics).

Case in point, GT3Tek's unwillingness to address the OP's problem in this thread; or reverse the opinion of the 1,597 views attached.

Just curious if this has been resolved and OP has gotten their refund yet.

Hello Fellow Rennlisters we would like to clarify a few things with our members.
We have been accused of being scammers which we are not and never will, yes we have been VERY slow in answering emails and answering the phone.
The last 16 months have been very challenging to us first we had a fire in our polyurethane factory due to arson. In this incident we were forced to relocate of which set us back many months due to california's strict hazmat laws. And more than 5 times, yet again were forced to shut down and setting us back from shipping parts due to the halt in manufacturing.
We had our entire small crew working the poly machines, thus not being able to answer calls or emails to fulfill orders.
Another thing has set us back is that our precision injection machines are very sensitive and parts require many changes and many times these parts break and are very slow to arrive. We are told these parts would arrive in a couple of days and would turn to a couple of weeks.
The change took so long that the material had sat for a few months and we lost more than 6 very expensive drums of material. We would like to thank all our customers that hung in there and were very patient and also apologize to all for any inconvenience.
We will continue to improve our service and manufacturing very high quality and precise polyurethane parts.
There is really no justification just want to let you know our side if the story. So for the meanwhile we will only advertise what is available to ship until our inventory reaches its pinnacle of a 24 hour turnaround on any product the way it was for the last 30 years. Thank you.

Sounds like it really has been a challenging year; however, your customers (and potential customers) probably take more comfort from your first two sentences and your last three. Personally I could not care less about the operational issues. You certainly don't want to foster a business culture where excuses = results. Best of luck fixing all this.

Props for the explanation. I'm glad, because I'm a fan of the reasonable priced parts. Might be in the marked for some aero bits in the future.

Default I wanted to post an update on G3TEK.

I just purchased the front lip for a 996. i talked to GT3TEK via email. they are professional and very responsive. Armando gave me his cell phone number and shipped and delivered a great product in from CA to NC in 5 days. Installed with no issues and looks great. I read all of the prevoius threads and that is why i wanted to give an update.

I worked with Armando last year, talked to him several times on the phone, traded texts with painting advice, etc... I bought to items and even if shipping was a little longer than anticipated the product arrived as described. No issues at all.
