Default Any bike rack options for a cab?

I have seen a bunch for the coupe obviously and am checking out something called a Gururack that mounts off the back. But any other options?

Cheers

http://www.willwoodsystem.com

Also sea sucker makes suction based mounts. May be able to rig something up.

Porsche used to sell an OE roof transport system rack for the 996 cabriolet. I don't know if these are still available, or if they would fit a 997. I believe that the hard tops are interchangeable between 996 and 997 cars with slight modification, so maybe the same is true for the roof transport system. You might be able to find a used rack online....

Thanks Dennis, looks like you need to instal the hardtop obviously to fit the rack. This would be for a trip to CA so i would want easy access to roof down driving and wouldnt have anywhere to store the top so may not be as practical. The installs through a back end mounting system look interesting but need to find out the cost

Cheers

The car in that pic looks to me to be a cab with the soft top up, not a hard top.

Hmm, true when i really looked at it. Wonder how hard it is to get on and off so will check it out. But obviously cant get the top down with it installed which is not ideal. Thanks for pointing it out

I think it is the soft top. I mentioned the hardtop to point out the similarity of design between the 996 and 997 tops. Hopefully the roof transport would fit a 997 if you like it.
