I'm not lowered and avoided buying a car that was.
1. I have a steep driveway that I barely can clear without scraping the nose.
2. The roads in the mountains of North East Pennsylvania are crap. I need the ground clearance.
3. When I'm not driving to sports car races (spectator), doing PCA driving tours or doing 2 hour drives to Cars and Coffee's I'm running my 12 year old (front seat) and 9 year old (rear seat) around to school and sports.
4. I haven't got the extra cash for lowering the car (see #3 for the reason why).
5. I'm 6'-2" with a ruined spine, and its painful enough getting in and out of the car at stock ride height.

Would you be more comfortable with a steering wheel extender or do you find the steering wheel already have enough extension range ?

I am asking to see if I have shorter than normal arms for my height I find that the steering wheel at the top is 1 inch further than I'd like while the sides are OK. I don't like to sit too close so I am considering a steering wheel extension gadget

I know someone is going to suggest adjusting the tile angle by moving the steering wheel down but then I will kept catching my thigh when I turn the wheel...

Mine is not lowered, I have sport pasm on my C2 as an option and it sits just right to me. If you plan on lowering your car do it right and get coilovers, slapping on lowering springs is not the right way to do it.

C2 with 60k miles factory height no spacers. Making full use of the suspension travel on the curbs.

GT3 rear sway middle set, Porsche RS motor mounts, Potenza S04 rubber and as aggressive of an alignment the shop could muster. Drives like how I imagine a 911 should; fun managing the rear. Could use a little more steering feel - I don't think the 235 rubber up front is helping.

Plans to play race engineer with a set of Ohlins Road & Track whenever the driver starts accruing some talent

Yes and it also confirms that lowered 997 are not very usable on most American roads and driveways.

That is silly. I run cars much lower than a 997.2 with Eibachs or H&Rs and have zero problems. Never once heard my wife's 997.2 with Eibachs scrape anything. I honestly do not see how anyone could scrape with Eibachs unless doing something hair brained or running into a curb.

so true

And yes i also dont get guys who claim to scrape on everything they come across. Mines on H&R's and never have a problem with speed bumps (but i also dont hit them at 40). And i drive my car all winter through all kinds of crap!

With the occasional scrape its usually the little plastic pieces in front of the wheels (which are easily replaceable). If i hit the front spoiler its usually a situation where it probably would have hit at stock height. And besides, it scrapes underneath and you cant even see it unless you crawl under the car for gawds sake

The slightly tighter feel and visual impact was a no brainer for me

Not yet, but planning on H&R's once I decide to drop the funds on the labor. I'm not fond of the wheel gaps on the stock height (C2S PASM) and I'm jelly of all the sexy lowered 997's on here. 😜

And it confirms to me that a 997 with PASM looks perfect

Agree completely. On my third 997 with H&R's and I see the scarping issue as a non-issue. Never met a steep driveway that couldn't be negotiated at a 45 degree angle. I may have a scrape or two at the bottom of the lip but the idea that lowering makes the car next to unusable is unfounded imo.

I have long arms too (need tailored long sleeve dress shirts, nothing off the rack will work) so the wheel placement is fine for me.

I have C2S with spacers and not lowered. Also for practical reasons. Have been thinking about H&R or Eibach though

Turbo wheels. 8mm spacers at the rear.
