Wheel decisions for basalt black

Thanks for that info. Your 'real' Fuchs look so much better than the knockoffs, especially with that ducktail! Well done.

I actually prefer the look of the knockoffs. The black genuine o especially have too much visual mass in the center for my taste - makes a more modern 911 look too 80s. The genuine Fuchs with black and silver spokes where the silver sofa the spoke curves at the edge I think look better.
I like a more open wheel - they're lighter, provide for better brake cooling, look more modern, and are visually more aggressive, like my Forgeline SC1s in Brushed/clear finish.
... but that's why there are so many choices out there, so everyone can get exactly the look they want.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I am with you. I never really liked the Fuchs that much in the 80s on my 911s when new. The more modern definitely look better with the look and feel of less mass so no reason to diss them as know-offs.
You have got the perfect wheel for silver car. Not sure I would like them as much on black or white. For silver, perfect!

Second picture, the black convertible, what are those and what's the color called? A buddy of mine is looking for wheels for his black -07 C4S. He likes my wheels but is too cheap to pony up for Forgelines. These look somewhat similar both in color and design.
