I got the new long tube headers from BGG Motorsports. Ask for John or Ray. I paid way more than that. I wonder if your price is for the old style. I love your price. Mine was for my 997.1S

I had the system for many years. I had k&N cai, IPD plenum, complete exhaust, REVO stage2 ECU. It was fantastic.
You can see the header is different from what they sell now. You can probably look around and find other dealers that sell them, they have obviously changed style. I would buy all the cheapest exhaust parts because it is just pipes that air goes thru. All kinds of cheap stuff on ebay for a couple of hundred dollars.
put the money in the intake system. And a GOOD ecu program

theres no answer for that..maybe a custom tune of your ecu...but shorty headers should improve low end while long tube will improve top end...
if u could get a custom steped header u can find a balance...
they use smaller pipes that get bigger as they go...i think bbe uses a step design for 997.. but since nobody has done a back to back dyno on all headers available theres no way to really know...

btw i have a 3.6 n been shoping for headers also but all brands sell the same for both the 3.6 n 3.8.. different displacements and compressions and camshafts so no way they will make same power on both..
