Default 997.2 Carrera S Girodisc question / issue

So, My brake set up is this:

GT3 Front Calipers, Girodisc Rotors, Pagid RS29 pads.
997.2 C2S Rear Calipers, Girodisc Rotors, Pagid RS19 pads.

Car has GT3 Mastercylinder.

My wife and I track the car 6 times a year. We just put on the rear Girodisc, and after my first OPEN track day, they pulsate when heated up. They pulsate pretty much like a warped rotor. Could this have been a defective rotor from Girodisc?

Let me know your thoughts. I use race fluid and bleed them regularly.

How severe, significant shaking or more like a grumble?

Any chance you used the hand brake when parked after coming off the track (pad deposits)?

I have almost the same set up. Differences are:

1. I am using PFC-08 pads front and rear.
2. My rear caliper is a 997.2 caliper (car is a 997.2 C2).

After 2 track days, I have not felt anything like what you describe. I'm sure you did the obvious to make sure nothing is loose? And made sure everything is seated properly?

In fact, this morning, I swapped the rear giro disc for the standard slotted Sebro Rotors that I have and everything else remained the same. There is no more pulsating. It really is an issue with the rotors. Need to file a claim with supplier. We will see where it goes.

That sensation can come from improperly bedded rotors to the pad type, almost like a repetitive grab and release sensation that feels like a warped rotor. Before assuming the rotors are defective (Girodisc quality is very good), you should clean both sides of the rotors with brake cleaner and a rollock pad on your drill to remove all of the previous pad transfer material, then rebed the rotors with the pads you plan to use them with. You can find pad bedding instructions online.

/\ Agreed, been there. If you can live with the pulsating, leave the pads in and a week or so of street driving will remove the buildup. Then re-bed the pads, but really put some heat into them next time.

Hey I just saw your post here. Did you fixed the problem?

my car also have this problem tho not a Porsche but also using GiroDisc rotor. Does the pulsation sound like this?
