Default Looking a 2002 996 Twin Turbo

Hi Guys
Need some help
As my subject line states looking at a 2002 996 twin turbo. I entered the Vin but there is no reference if the car is an X50. I have entered the car I am looking at and anther I know is a genuine X50 but no reference for either in the vin decoder. Can someone help me out I am new to the turbo side.
Thank you

Looks like just few basic options @ $119K MSRP? Doubt it's X50, how do you know it's "genuine x50"?

No X50, and some factory options...just a base model.

Look into the overall condition of the car, that's the most important part. A few extras here and there doesn't matter as much.

Try to get a pic of the sticker under the hood sent to you.

$118K is a stripper for sure, mine was $120K and has very few options. Nothing wrong with that at all...it's the condition and maintenance history that's important.

Every 996 Turbo (and GT3/GT2) has the Mezger engine.

Thanks man I appreciate the info. The problem I see they priced the car like it was a X50 but everything else so far looks good.
Thank you

A google search of VIN pulled up this ad: https://porschenashua.com/inventory/...+Black+1200655

The options are listed in the ad and I don't see a reference to X50 being an option anywhere in the ad. What makes you think it is/would be?

The $48k price seems to be in line with market for miles, transmission, and non-X50 cars. I'd expect an X50 car to be at least 10% more in price.

As previously suggested, get a pic of the option sticker under the front hood. An X 50
car will have that listed there.

Yes its the Mezger engine GT1 derivative! Yes the price is in limne with the market without X50. X50 will be around 53k for that year.
