tried that....fail. Too much vibration for JB.

You would think that stuff would work.......I used to use that stuff successfully on everything even things i shouldn't have.......may be getting old and cynical but JB ain't what she used to be.

The frame that the lights mount on is adjustable. I moved my left one about 1/6" down to get clearance. Just mark them before you loosen the two screws so that if you get "lost" you can start over from the beginning.

You try the adjustments? The lights mount on an adjustable slide.
No problem here once I made the adjustments

Since these are within a year, maybe they will honor a replacement

If they crack that easily why would you want a replacement?

Eventually they will especially if you leave the stepped washers and spacer, if needed, out and torque them "Goodntight"

Checked mine a couple of mo. ago when changing oil. Perfect originals. Looked at them again last week. Left one, bottom, broken. Not just cracked, but broken, exactly like the picture in post #1. Ordered a new one. Right side still good, but tiny cracks around the mount holes. I hope the new ones last 15 years. Not exactly cheap.

I had a light saver crack as well as shown above, unfortunately there were more broken OEM flange pieces underneath. They really should be made with a glass reinforced plastic. On a positive note, Clint did send a replacement (just the one side) right away.

The reason they crack is there isn't even support under them and they are over tightened. Put a little gasket sealer in the screw threads if you are concerned about the screws backing out but just tighten them snug. The light fixture is captured by the outside bracket mount and the Light Saver and will not fall out. Tightening the screw more does not secure the light better, it only cracks the Light Saver tabs. Anyone with cracked Light Saver tabs should just send $9.95 to porschetaillight@gmail.com, and I will ship you a set of replacements if you are in my database as a past customer, no questions asked.
