Cost to pin coolant hoses?

From what I've heard, you don't get much of the antifreeze out just draining and refilling. I'd feel really bad if someone spun on my coolant.
I'd more than likely drop the engine and pin myself, but was wondering the cost if I chose not to. Not that I don't have enough projects on the go.

If you track the car and have no other reason to drop the motor, drain it and use Water Wetter.
I pinned mine for the cost of research and bolts while the engine was out for a transmission rebuild.
It's the while you're at in/in there stuff that can run up a hefty cost.

I just drove my turbo from SLC UT to Encinitas CA. I thought I had addressed this problem 5 years ago having bought the Torque Solution kit and paying a local race shop to drop the motor and weld all the fittings, on my way to a meeting in Encinitas blew a fitting turns out almost none were actually welded! Super sucks thinking it was done and driving and tracking the car ever since. Complete bull****!!

I read a similar issue happened to someone with a gt3 recently in that forum. Would be an interesting conversation to have with the shop that "did" the work.
At least good for some to hear that they don't all pop at the track.
Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Why would the dealer reduce the hourly rate for 996s? Is this common with other dealerships?

As far as doing the pipes, its not hard to do that job but your going to want to replace a bunch of stuff at the same time (Clutch, Rubber Hoses, Plugs/Coils). I don't understand the argument of welding vs pinning if your that worried about it simply do both its not like it requires extensive parts cost to do one or the other. I however feel absolutely confident in just welding the pipes as are the other fabricators/engineers I have consulted.
