Default Another "Clutch Issue I Think" Thread

in most (maybe all) gears when i get on it hard and it goes over 4K rpm (plus minus), something slips and the rpms zoom up without the car going any faster

i am assuming this is clutch related? - anyone know what causes this?

thx

you shouldn't *have* to pay for more than 8 hrs of labor at an honest indy shop.

Porsche "Book" time is 25 hrs (engine out). Most good indys can do it without removing the engine, but it's a bit fiddly to get right. Some will still charge "Book" time.
Make sure to use a shop you trust and more importantly, one that has experience doing 996TT clutches.

Changing a clutch is a lot of work and does cost money...how much you would want to ask the folks who will do the install. It is a big job hence the importance of using good stuff.

Oops, I had the wrong "Clutch" thread. Your Panamera is a different from the 996 Turbo. You may want to post in the Panamera section to get feedback from other owners.
