You guys should be using powder coated aluminum. No rust, great look. If you DIY, make a cardboard template, test fit it, determine a good fastening method (the most challenging part) and go for it. Its best to cut a little large and trim down. It takes some time to get right, but overall, it's an easy job. Great winter project. Bumper removal is simple and IMO, the easiest and best method will be achieved with the bumper off the car.
