996 Turbo Picture Thread

I got rid of my locking lugs when I had a tire issue on my Cayenne and found out that the dealer never replaced the key when they serviced it before I bought it. Was a major hassle to get it cut off to fix my tire and then I put new lugs on w/o a lock because I don’t believe it would stop anyone who really wants them anyway. I was not happy with the dealer either.

Since I got the daily email update on this thread, I decided to "drive by" to say Hi and Goodbye (to a degree as I still have a soft spot for the 996 and will be lurking around)...
I sold the 996tt and want to say thank you to many here in this thread who gave me help, insight and a lot of ideas to spend my money while building my 996!
Thanks for letting me get away with all of the picture whoring over the last several years.
This lovely 996tt went to a lucky new owner who is understandably tickled pink:
I decided to move on to the 991:
Such a different experience. Although I'm totally blown away by the new 991, there is much I do already miss about the 996!
Anyhow, this 996 group has a lot of great guys in it.
Thanks again and Happy Holidays!

Thanks man...
I miss the more raw, analog, visceral feel and sound of the 996. I will sometimes miss rowing gears. At the same time, I'm comparing a built 996 manual "hot rod' to a bone stock modern 991 PDK. Apples and oranges.
The 991 is definitely a whole new level but you just also lose certain characteristics, experience and feel of the older car.
Of course, I'm not losing sleep over it and am already working on plans to address the 991 sound (and get more power).

I suggested keeping both, but it may irritate his wife...
