Nice wheel. I find that Valentine has somewhat slipped compared to the new Escorts - I did a rather UN-scientific test where I had a Valantine, my old Solo, Passport 8500 and a new Escort Max - then drove through the mountains.
I noted that even before I got out of the city, the Valentine was chirping at all the doors, as was the Solo, but the 8500 and Max, set to auto, did not. More interestingly, once I got onto the highway east of Chilliwack, a known Fuzz hotspot, I was getting signal on all Escort products a good 1 - 2kms before the Valentine woke up...
I do believe the Escort's DSP has taken a rather substantial leap ahead of what Valentine is capable of anymore.
