Yea, especially a 996, why buy to let it sit. Surely it's appreciated, but not close to what an investment would do over the same time.

I’m gonna be bold….I say $575k. The real collectors will come out the woodworks for this one. They seem to love the stupidly low mileage examples to collect dust

Holy cow, already at $350k, including a bid from Jan Koum. This one's gonna be one expensive 996.

I misread the market. It is going for big money.

A car like this is when the big money comes in, I suppose. A few hundred thousand here or there isn't much to some.

As a general rule Cabriolet and Targa models won't fetch coupe money.
The outlier is the 356 but a 356 Cabriolet won't bring what a 356 Roadster will and both lag far behind Speedster pricing; the (Max Hoffman) car that was stripped down to make it more affordable to Americans at the time. Go figure.

PS and OT: As open cars go the E Type coupe is far prettier than the roadster. Same for a C2 Corvette. When the top is chopped off the styling goes with it.

I'm thinking $95-98k on that.

I think the relative rarity of the guards red on a turbo in this shape with this mileage will bring in the collectors and the dealers. Ryan Friedman is already in the bids. I bet this exceeds the yellow.

What makes the guards red turbo rare (other than the super low mileage)? Genuinely curious as a current guards red on natural leather owner (but with 51k)

I like the looks of the roadster much better.

I just thought guards red was rare on the 996TT. Maybe I'm wrong. Guards red over black seems special?
