Default diverter valves up grade

Is this worth upgrading from factory to after market units?

if so, what will I see from upgrading this?

Thanks

evoms are about the "best" long lasting, consistent and dont fail or "honk" like the 710 A ( oem fitment ) are known to do. though the 710N are better than the stock 710 A bosch. still not as good as the evoms or a good billet set. imo.

but anyway... great reliable upgrade from stock

http://www.evoms.com/EVOMS_Porsche_D...dv90degblk.htm

this from their white papers:

Our direct replacement diverter valve pair will eliminate the notorious "honking" sound commonly heard when the OEM valves have failed. Our valves will restore lost power and will hold more boost pressure than the stock units for added performance. In addition, they recover quicker than the OEM valves which allows for better spool after shifts. We designed our valves with a 90 degree vacuum port which allows for additional vacuum line clearance and a trouble free installation. The EVOMS Billet Diverter Valves for the 996TT / X50 / GT2 / Turbo S come as a complete kit and they carry our exclusive lifetime warranty.

If you aren't making over 1.25 bars of boost the Bosch 710N valves are good.... Kaiser is ow making them under license. If your valves haven't failed, no sense in changing them... It's not a power adding upgrade.. Most likely your stock ones have been changed. When they fail you will hear "geese honking"..

Forge and Bailey valves are good and double the cost vs the 710N's...

If they aren't "honking" I wouldn't replace them.

If they need replacing, I recommend Bailey.

Should one just do motor mounts at the same time as DV?

Would make sense if the mounts need done, since you'll most likely have to lower the engine

Replacing the tranny mount would be more prudent than engine mounts. Factory update (design) with the tranny mount.. Unless you track your car, I wouldn't upgrade the engine mounts. Tranny "yes" due to the design and failing rubber web.

My mechanic installed my Bailey DVs in about 40 minutes, without lowering the engine, and that included the time he took to remove the top of at least one of the DVs and rotate it to a better angle for a vacuum hose. He's not a big guy at all (read: small hands).

I had some eratic boost issues earlier this year.
I replaced my DV's with some of the aluminum ones you find online for VW, Audi, Porsche etc.,
They were a little bigger than the OE so fitment was tight but I got them in.

After removing the old ones I found one of them was leaking boost. Basically if you push the valve up from the bottom and place your finger on the top nipple the valve should stay up, one of mine was leaking, I was able to blow and through the side port and some air would leak out the bottom.
Now my boost seems to hold more solid throughout the rev band.

Fwiw I had billet Fvd valves. They leaked. I went 710n. And run 1.35 bar. No problems.
