Default What's that stain... ?

Hey guys. I backed up from my garage tonight and noticed a stain on the floor. It was under the engine bay, the color of the liquid is 'rusty' or auburn. Any idea what it could be ? Thanks guys.

Sounds like coolant-pic? Take a look and see if you can pinpoint leak.

Deff coolant. Get under it with a light.

Could easily be water/condensation from the exhaust (after a wash). I get water in the exhaust and it will drip a few days after with the same color.

Ummm let's hope indeed... In fact, there's still noting on the floor and it's been 24 hours...

Smell it, coolant has a distinct smell, as does oil!

Have you driven car since you noticed drip on floor? Sometimes things leak when hot but not when cool.

Look for buildup around the water pump, if it is leaking or did leak you will see some dry/hardened residue.

I have often used Mach 4 absorbant for hydraulic spills on the streets and highways, I also use a mixture of white vinegar ammonia and garage floor cleaner
mixed in water, The recipe is on the back of the ammonia bottle,I cleaned up a shop floor a while back and used the mach 4 to take up the moisture
and my phone begin ringing with a person wanting to know what I used to get the stained floor so clean, the mixture is reasonably cheap and the ammonia is not as strong smelling as one would think, we used white portland cement on oil spills for years and it seemed to work ok, but was not as fast as the others.
