I think the fuel pressure regulator failed in such a way that it filled the vac lines/intake with fuel but this is just a theory. I was in NYC at the time dodging bullets at the empire state building.

I'm 45, 20+ year software engineer. Had my own consulting company for many years but now work for one of the big banks.
Have a lot of hobbies including long range shooting (prior Army background), machine work (do mainly air cooled VW engine machine work/engine building), farming (chickens, cows, bees, etc.), formerly motocross racing (thus the name here), and sometimes wood work. I get bored quick and always need "something" to do.
I'm a cat person as well, down to 4 now.
My 996tt is my first Porsche. I've been pining after one since I was 15. When I was in the position to afford one last time my ex wouldn't go for it. So this time with the new wife it was a go.

Married, mid 40's, RN wife, two dogs, one geriatric cat. Have three jobs. Primary is cutting some wealthy guys grass as well as managing his overall estate. Secondary is finishing off my 18.5+ year active duty USAF career via the ANG. Tertiary is working retail sales at a high end wine and liquor store (my fun job). Hobbies include power equipment, German cars and Napa Valley Cabernet. Really like tracking my cars as evidence by my avatar and attached pic. Don't have any pics of me tracking my 996TT but it is a fun trackmobile.

This was my '72 2.4L. Those mechanical FI motors had phenomenal throttle response. I understand they are highly sought after these days...
