Default Key fob not working

Hey guys.

Another issue here I've been experimenting for the last week : when I want to get in the car when it's been sitting for a few days, the doors refuse to open when I press the button on the key fob. I thought at first the battery might be dead but when I then drive the car and park it, the key fob button works ok (closing and opening the doors...).

I will change the battery anyway but this seems a little odd to me. I mean, when a battery is dead, it should not work at all, right ??? Unless there's another issue I don't see...

Mine does this too from time to time after a few days. Changed the battery, no joy. But, just stick the key in the door and turn it to unlock, and the key fob resolves itself immediately and works like a charm. Try it!

I have never locked mine while parked other than when taking it to shop. The alarm/locking module seem to be finicky. Mine so far has worked correctly.

My C2 will do the same if it sits unused for 5 or more days. Open the door with key, crank it up all is well.

It is designed to work that way.

I can only guess that I'd read this previously somewhere, which is why I hadn't gone insane trying to figure it out. Thanks for posting this because I was starting to wonder again.

This is normal as was stated. My car does the same thing if I leave it alone for a little while.

I have another issue where one of my two key fobs won't communicate with the car any longer, which I never really figured out. The fob still lights up just fine and a fresh battery didn't do squat. The physical key can still get me into the car and turn on the ignition, but the remote just isn't synced up anymore somehow.

I changed my dead key fob battery and it has not worked since. Hadn't had a chance to bring it to my indie for reprogramming he says he can. I think I will have to buy a new head and then have it programmed! I have tried all the suggestions I can find and none have worked!
