G-Tech Pro - Competition
I bought a G-Tech Pro Competition the other day and started playing around with it last weekend. This is a very fun toy! Do not assume it is anything like the old G-Tech Pro hunk of crap... it's not. It is completely programmable, has a ton of benchmarks, runs can be saved in the unit (I would guess 40 or more) and then uploaded to your computer. It has a programmable shift light, a programmable lateral 'G' light too warn when you're getting to the limit in the corners and lots of other fun stuff.

Here's a screen-shot from a run I uploaded to my computer:
In this next screen-shot, notice my poor shifting, producing negative G's:

Here's a screen-shot showing RPM's for the run:

I've had the old gtech meter for years and have enjoyed it with many different cars.
I just picked up the new model, and it is quite a bit nicer with the computer information.
Is your car the X50?

Zippy,
I think the new G-tech is great too. Stephen Kaspar told me he took one to the track and found it to be very close to light beam timed runs.
A couple of questions...
Did you use a roll out? I typically use 10in. This gives you a small running start like you get at the track with staging where your wheel rolls alittle before it allows the beam through to start the clock.
Did you take it easy on the car in the run you showed? With a good start and good shifting a 2002 stock TT should hit 100mph in around 9.0 sec.
