Default NYC shop recommendation

Hello all,

New 996tt owner here. First, I want to say hello thank you for the wealth of info on these forums. I've been looking through them for more than a few months now (almost never post however).

I live in NYC and was looking for a good shop recommendation. I spotted a leak at the clutch fluid reservoir at the front of the car. I've read here on the forums that this is a sign that my clutch slave cylinder is on its way out. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a shop to have these parts replaced (cheaper than the dealer!). Thanks in advance for any responses!

No experience with them but Deman Motorsports in Westchester County seems to have a good rep.

I use Powertech in Rockaway NJ but they might be a little too far for you.

Rennwerke in Westchester is popular.

I like

S.M. Motorsports Inc., New Hyde Park, NY 516-775-8655

from the metro pca tech sites.

The guy I dealt with was down to earth and polite.

I had the opposite experience @ forumla in LIC.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I've heard of lynmore before and SM motorsports in new hyde park should actually be pretty close. I'll look into these (i also have the common abs/psm issue I need to have looked at).
