"buy a cat and mouse traps"! lol

+1 on the modern era trickle charger w cig adapter. the porsche branded one is the same as the c-tek for 50 bucks. no reason to remove the battery at all i would think.
another advantage. once i began to trickle charge. i run at constant 14 on the gauge. a bit less full load.. but not much.

Picture this: A clear cold Sunday morning. Temp about 20. Remove the trickle charger, get in the damn
car and take it for a 40 minute drive. Your turbo will thank you and you'll be home for breakfast.
I actually look forward to that quiet time exercising the car.

When starting car after storage, I like to pull the DME fuel pump relay and crank it to build oil pressure first. Then light it off and enjoy!

anyone have a favorite car cover? I will probably just buy the Porsche tequipment one for the turbo. I wish it came in black though. As far as chargers go is the CTEK 3300 good? seems to be the same as the Porsche one for much less. This thread is a great read to prepare for my turbo's first winter in my garage!

If the car is in a garage, get a cover with "Dustop", it is a synthetic flannel inside, but not as heavy as flannel, easy on the paint. I got mine from Carcoversdirect. I like my Battery Tender for trickle charger.

i've been using this one for a few years. http://www.the-cover-store.com/CarIt...mNo=BAA8EE86B3

it's fairly durable but my exhaust tips managed to burn matching holes in it. best to wait until after it cools down. doh.

..and the ctek 3300 works perfectly for 50-75 bucks

My original factory cover (for outdoors and indoors) seems fairly harsh. I like the soft Dustop much better for indoors in garage.
