Picked Up a Turbo - Pictures Inside - Build Thread
Recently sold my 964 because money was there, and I like money. They went up on the price significantly. I filled the Porscheless hole with a mint Silver 6TT.
I like these cars a lot. I looked at 7TTs and the price gap, for what I will be driving it 7TT did not make sense. I had the TT for 2 months right now, and it has been pretty joyful. I have some plans for it and will be updating this thread as I move along. I might throw in some DIY pictures if time allows me also.
HERE are some pictures:
First mod was the Aero style front lip as the one came with the car was pretty much torn at the bottom.

Very nice! Every time I see a side shot picture of our cars, it takes me back to when I had the wheat field wallpaper of the artic silver turbo. Do you miss the 964? I would like to know what you think about the differences.

Thank you ECS
Thanks
They are more fun to drive compared to watercooled cars.

I have been extremely busy at the shop, hence no major updates. Ordered a few parts and they have been sitting on the shelves. Today it slowed down a bit, and I stole one of the lifts for the 6TT and installed my new Bilstein PSS10s, and RSS toe steer kit with locking plates.
Drove the car a couple of miles came back, re-torque and did an alignment. With the help of the RSS bits, I was able to set the alignment back to factory specs. No pull, straight steering and formost important no wobbles on the road, over the highway expansion joints. I used all new strut mounts, bearings and replacement bolts (OCD????).
I will snap some pictures later this week, and post them.
Meanwhile, thinking about a complete interior make over. I have been pounding a few ideas lately:
The car had full leather interior, and some areas on the upper dash some wrinkles (best I could explain). Center lower console has a few scratches.
Thinking about yanking the whole interior and:
-Alcantara wrap whole upper and lower dash / or re-wrap (going back and forth)
-GT3 center console delete
-997 GT3RS shift **** and boot conversion alcantara
-Steering wrapped in Alcantara with red 12 oclock
-Lower center console body color
-Red seat belts
-Silver gauges
I made a deal with a long time RLer for a set of hardback seats which I will pick up in 2 weeks, I will paint the hard backs in body color also.
I need pictures, ideas about the interior, so I am pretty sure some of you have already done this, please share

Nice build. Will track. Love the hardback seats. Would love to have them in my TT. I like the interior thoughts. Seems like a lot of work to do dash re-wrap. I understand the wrinkles I have a few on my center steering wheel that drive me nuts. Minor stuff, but like perfection. If you have a good means to do it for the right price sounds good. I prefer leather on the dash personally. Keep the alcantara where it matters - for grip... Just my 2 cents. It accents the classy leather well and serves purpose.
