I've driven around 10k (semi-conservatively; no track days) and am at about 5/32" in the rears.

Got my geometry checked today and everything was spot on. Same as when I had it done 10 months a go at the exception of the toe going out on the left ( pothole I have hit recently) wish explain the excessive wear on the inside on the left... But everything else is set up properly and tyres did wear evenly .
For your knowledge the se upt on my car is : Camber left: -1deg14.
Camber right: -1deg15'
Toe Left: 0deg04'
Toe right: 0deg05'
So it seems my driving style +mods are responsable for the quick wear of these tyres !!! Front tyres are still in good shape with plenty of thread on them. So all the power goes on the rear one nearly all the time....These cars are phenomenals in handling and in the way it grip and deliver the power to the road.
Lots of power and torque and technology go through these rear boots so it is normal they wear quickly.
Remember times with my good old tuned Audi RS4Bi-turbo where I could do 12/14000 miles with the front tyres and more with the rear ones and I was driving it pretty hard !! Was 509BHP and 520ft/lb of torque BUT I have to admit the handling wasn't as good as the 996 Turbo S . I certainly did push my Porker pretty well without realising it because they just grip and handle like nothing else !!!! :-)
The End , Amen.

When you think about it. It's pretty cheap fun considering the alternatives.

You and I must drive alike :-)

I go through 3 sets of rears to one set of fronts. The fronts usually still have tread after 3 sets of rears, but they are too worn to produce a good ride, so I change them every 3 rears...

Depending on the suspension bushings they might flex under acceleration and turning more then you think as well as your geometry. I suggest rear toe links with locking plates. I use royor888 and get 8-10k miles out of them at 600rwhp. Oh ya tread rating is a 100

Add me to the list too! 6K out of rears. 3 rears/1 fronts. GT2 spec alignment. I don't even bother measuring the thread anymore. I just change them at 6K.
