Bates- The car im looking at is exactly like yours- so you dont have any regrets? looks like a few things I will have to resolve ( coolant low hopefully a easy fix and wing ) then Im hoping for happy motoring!!
Looks like a pretty sweet deal even with the issues.
On the stiffness issue. All I know is that if you can put a jack on the rear jack point of a cab, and lift the whole side of the car off the ground. The the chassis is pretty damn stiff.
Ok please explain the difference in PNs for the A pillars etc and the testimonial in the enclosed link!
"Porsche had to weld tubing for bracing behind the "B" pillar and the seat belt retractor mount. It has to do with a side impact area...If you welded in the 4" piece of tubing, and the metal strap, you would have a 2002 chassis."
A 4" piece of tubing and a strap welded to the "B" pillar does not produce a 25% stiffer chassis.
Congrats and welcome, you won't be disappointed! You will love the X50 and the rest of the car. Super sexy color combo.... you will have to buy a big stick to beat the beautiful woman away that will flock every time you stop!
Black is the great color- ill be cleaning often to keep it that way!! Natty black hole and nattty blue sound like the ticket from what Ive read about keeping black looking good easily!
