Default Turbo in the snow - Merry Christmas!

I recently sold my highly modified (LIC Motorsports) Subaru WRX sport wagon. I was hopeful yet skeptical about the 996tt in the snow. I've owned so many snow going vehicles, SUV's, cars, Jeeps, etc., and have been driving in the snow since I was 13. The Turbo is by far the best car I've ever driven in the snow. Hands down, no contest. Here are some pics, enjoy.

I agree!

Life is too short to put awesome cars away for winter.

Bring on the snow!

I thought the 996TT was 95% rear wheel drive and 5% front wheel drive. Is this correct? Does it feal like a rear wheel drive car, or doe you clearly feal the front wheels pulling?

Given my is only a C4s, but I feel the same way as the OP about my Pcar in the snow, better than my STI, or any other truck, SUV, or other AWD car I have owned

The 996 Turbo has a minimum of approximately 5% going to the front wheels, with a maximum of approximately 40% going to the front wheels. So power to the front is variable from 5% to 40%.

My sentiments exactly. I actually drove my TT to work yesterday in borderline blizzard conditions here in Orlando. It was only in the mid 40's when I left for work and barely cracked 60 by mid afternoon. But the TT performed flawlessly!

Are they really better than STi in the snow?

I had a STi and with the central diff locked, it was pretty much the best car I ever driven in deep snow.

Great photos!

What snow tires are you using?

I can't imagine a better winter car/tire combination than my S4 with Hakka R. But, would love to drive the TT for comparison.
