I also am "between" tunes. I went from an unknown 1.0 + bar tune to stock. My OEM clutch slipped once while at WOT on my tune and I am not ready to put another clutch in the car (It has only been 10 months!)

If I run into some money I may upgrade the clutch and go to Kevin's tune. I have his datalogger program and it is great! I recomend you guys pick that up as well

me too. Waiting for Kevin to kick my a@se though. He said no nutter stuff on the autobahn. I had to take it there to do the 120mph he said I needed for a data download. Oops, my foot slipped and it rocketed to 295kmh (183mph, it's not top speed is it?). I love these cars.

Noup. Mine stops at 327km/h on the speedo. I hope you aren't paid well as fines in switzerland are directly attributed to your earnings. But then you would know this. ;-).

Thats fantastic and I am insanely jealous of you being able to take your car to the limit like that! What is the pull like from 150mph on? I have only taken mine up to 120mph on a long stretch of road in wyoming. Totally cool!

Hi Kevin, I did all of the logs before my foot slipped, they will be emailed to you today. I didn't get the smoke issue like NoParasan, just the feeling that the rev limiter had kicked in whne I wasn't at the limit. But correct, it ran all the way there perfectly, and quickly. I will email you shortly.

I should film it, these things just don't let up on the rate they pick up speed. I've seen plenty of youtube clips of people getting so far, then their rate of acceleration drops considerably, I can honestly say in this, it does not drop. I have to admit, I haven't tried a top speed run on a standard tune, not sure what the difference would be.

Simon, you got any builds on this point, I see you've gone further than most on the top speed stakes?

I have tune, air filter and exhaust. No let up. Just pull to top speed at equal rate. Then limiter gently kicks in and them car sits on 326/327kp/h 326/327kp/h and alters between the two values. My tune doesn't raise the rpm limiter. My friend's does (by 500rpm) and he gets another 10kp/h, so he tops at 337kp/h. I decided agaist it as load on the engine is imense at top speed so keeping stock rpm limiter makes more sense to me.

But you know I rearly do it nowadays. Top speed is fun but once you do it few times the novelty wears off. Its so easy in these cars... Then as I am getting older, I think to myself, what happens now if my tyre blows?

So, unless there is someone on german autobahn who needs teaching a lesson, I take her up to 150mph when need to cover ground quickly. I also think easier on the engine.

I've been to 140 mph. It got there in a hurry. I'll need to find a track to top it out.
