Default GT2 Clutch Conversion Kits

For anyone that is bothered by the vague feel of the power assisted OEM clutch, we have non-assisted GT2 clutch conversion kits available - which will solve the problem. When I took delivery of my 2002 996TT back in 2002, the one thing I quickly noticed is that I could never get used to the clutch action - the engagement varied and the pedal control was not precise. After a couple of years of clutch frustration, a tech and myself fitted a 993 GT2 non-assisted master cyl & slave, while bypassing the accumulator and pump. We had to drill and tap the case on the opposite side to fit the slave and use a mirror reverse GT2 fork, but the case was made for it from previous generation cars, so it was not too bad with the engine out for other modifications. It worked perfectly, as I had hoped and I still enjoy the precise pedal feel to this day.

A few years later EVOMS came out with a bolt on kit that accomplishes the same thing without drilling/ tapping/engine removal, etc. We became an EVOMS distributor to offer this product to our customers, as we feel it is a very positive upgrade. Everyone that does this conversion says "that's how the car should have come" and I agree. Many have said this was the best upgrade they have done to their car - IMO, it is definetely right up there with the best!

Below is a picture of the kit - it includes everything required for the complete conversion, including the proper super blue DOT fluid and a new braided steel line, which is instrumental in providing perfect response under high heat or track conditions.

If you are interested in pricing on this kit, please PM me and I will be happy to help.

Hi akimoto,

There is no "book" rate that I am aware of - the average time is approx. 8 hours for a shop that has never installed one previously, but is familiar with Porsche work. A shop that has done these before can install a kit in 6 hours +/-.

I can not send you a PM, please email me at info@speedtechexhausts.com and I will respond to you via email...

Here is some feedback - I just received this email this morning:

Just wanted to let you know that I had the clutch conversion kit installed last week and it is awesome. I LOVE the car now. Between doing this and the 997.2 GT3 shifter console, I think the car drives like how it should have from the factory. I seriously would have sold this car if this kit didn't exist.

Thanks for providing the kit at a great price. My shop said the quality of the kit is top notch.
