I think he said he had a softronic tune. My K16's with a UMW tune see 1.2 bar in certain circumstances, which Kevin said I should be glad about (and I am).
I would think the K24's with a tune could see 1.4 in certain circumstances. That doesn't answer the question. I'm just providing some data points.

I am the second owner, first owner spent a lot of money on the car.
He did almost everything he could including Ruf parts added, another important thing is I only drive like that on a track, with 100 octane in the tank and the car prepped to do it.

check to see if you have stock waste gates. My 16/24 car is "tuned" to 1.5bar with 1.5bar gates and the car will hold that if I let it (boost controller keeps it at 1.0, or 1.2 if I'm feeling it).
Not saying that it's healthy but maybe your car is set up to 1.4. Some people set them up like that.

Perhaps I'm confusing my cars anatomy. Maybe the boost controller asks through a blow off valve? It's crazy loud whatever it is!!!
