I have the car in Hong Kong and do about 50% city traffic and 50% stop and go. Really, it is not a good car for Bangkok at all. I average about 10-12 mpg a tank, and have to refuel every 250 km. I do get to drive it on the highway every day and get to drive fairly spiritedly at least. I would think you'd be sub 10 mpg in Bangkok traffic with the a/c on. Not a good daily driver for those type of conditions.

I think so,but actually i enjoy driving experience in this turbo so much! I already have 993 c2, its different ,996tt is much more fun to drive .
Anyone has 993 and 996 tt? Please ,i need your opinion, even the traffic jam,i still prefer 996tt for dd, what do you guys think?

A 996 turbo in the city is horrible !!! Wasn't design for that at all. That car need open space , big road, autobahn....Nurburgring.......
In town, busy city the clutch feel heavy, front is to low...Feel clumsy at time. Can't see the point of travelling at an average of 8mph with a supercar really !!!

Depends more on your tolerance.
The car can take it - the question is...do you mind crawling in traffic?
I don't mind it, but I only get stuck occasionally (LWFW / GT-2 mod).

The car can do it but I tend to lose patience after crawling for 45 min and covering 1.5 miles

If I had to endure heavy traffic daily, but still get to blast it out weekends, I'd get a Turbo with Tiptronic.
Easy in traffic, good A/C, maybe upgrade the stereo. Nothing makes you forget about the traffic like blasting a TT out on the open road, infrequent though it might be.

The car is fine with whatever you want to do with it...I am sure it would be a great off road rally car w/the right suspension. I love the visibility in the car - I can see all around the car and can change lanes with confidence. People are actually more willing to let me in w/that car compared to my truck. She's a road queen and a track dominatrix!
Leave the A/C on - it will keep the radiator fans on and help keep airflow over the radiators. Watch the temperature. I have never had a problem but normal temp at speed is a tad over 180. In traffic its closer to 195-200 (but stays there).
