Does anyone know about a GIAC stage 3 flash and what exactly it does, if it has settings etc?

I am in my first Porsche (996 turbo) with upgraded turbos (K24) and upgraded headers an exhaust. Those I can understand and read about.

Anyone else have the GIAC flash?

Have read lots more on the forum and it looks like Kevin is the defacto software upgrade master here. Just see a few talk about GIAC and none about "stage 3".

Buying the car after the mod was great for cost but stinks for information!

Would a Kevin (UMW) be something worth doing?

Of course I know this is subjective but looking for expert opinions and knowledge.

Have you contacted GIAC or the vendors that sell the "Stage 3" flash?

Very minor cost for peace of mind and reliable performance to call Kevin. Get a reflash from him, and a ton of confidence in your iconic sports car... also you get to be part of his family

mt10argyll is correct. I would recommend that the new owner contact GIAC for more info. However, if clorigo wants to upgrade his tune or turbochargers I'd game for that. I posted a Tuning Re-flash special a few weeks back.

Upgraded to UMW flash today and it certainly is an upgrade! Drivability is increased with lower end torque. Idle is smoother warm up is smoother; turbo boost sooner. Giac flash did add power but none of the other improvements and power with UMW is sooner. Definately worth the $. Can't wait to drive it more tomorrow!

how was this worked out? did you move to umw mods or did kevin tune the car they way it sits? his prior post confirmed he doesnt support other shops mods.

i did see that after a short search kevin. it seems most shops only want to work on the products they sell. coming from amg cars with little aftermarket we bought or made what we needed then found a tuner to bring it all together. much different on these cars.
can uyou pm me a price to go from a giac tune to umw if i decide to go that route?
