Default Vanity mirror and petrol cap springs

Hi all,
My vanity mirror cover on the drivers sunshade just sort of hangs where it should probably be spring loaded in the closed position. Has anyone here repaired this problem? Suggestions?
Also, my petrol filler flap has no spring loading. I expect it should have a spring detent at closed and another at open. Right now it will just flop closed if I don't hold it. Has anyone worked on one of these?

Thanks, Ben

I did a bit more research (aka googling) last night and found a few old threads on Renntech. A new vanity mirror insert is available from Suncoast (with or without light) and there is a DIY fix involving hot glue. I might have a go myself and then replace it when I break it.

Next, the flappy fuel cover.

Cheers, Ben
