Default UMW tune feedback

Took my car to the track with my NEW UMW tune. This is my feedback versus my previous tune.

1 More low end torque. Late apex and getting on throttle sooner before the straights gave me big speed. I gained 4 to 5 miles on the the straights.

2 Much smoother. Was able to throttle steer much better.

3 Worked flawlessly.

4 No car was able to stay with me. Including GTRs, Gt3 RSs etc...

Will post videos soon.

Thanks Kevin

What upgrades are on this car? Just a tune, or additional items? Sucks to have to get waved by, by all those slower cars, but I am assuming those are the "track" rules.

I thought that Nissan had some motor on you, but you were definitely pushing him in the turns. Then you finally blew by him. Did he finally give up on the turns, or did you really have him on acceleration?

Wondering if your car was faster, or it was just better driving on your part.

At any rate. Nice driving.

Thanks for the compliments

Car has upgrades Kevin listed.
Plus:

Motons with 550 and 750 springs
H&R Sway bars
Giro Discs with Pagid Yellows
AWE ICs
Sachs 2.5 with RS flywheel
Hoosier R6s
Gt3 control arms with adjustable links
Etc...

After I caught up with GTR for 3rd time he let me by. Hard to tell if he had anything on me on the straights. If he did, it was not much.

There was a guy there with a 996tt that had 1040 hp. Monster on the straights, but he had a hard time translating it to fast lap times. Not sure if tires, suspension, and brakes were up to par with engine.

I was worried about how tune would work on track. My car was fast with previous tune. But, Kevin's tune was as promised and car was much easier to drive and faster.

Thanks for posting - nice session. It seems that you and I run similar lap times. I have Kevin's stage 2A kit, most of the stuff you listed above, but I have PSS9's with stiffer springs, stock IC's and I run on Michelin PSC's. Hope to meet you sometime.

Have you found a comfortable route through the carousel? The bump in the middle of the right hander really upsets my car.

Jon

Thanks Jon. I really like Mid Oh. Endless discovery process for finding ways to cut lap times. Different asphalt texture, little grooves here and there that can be used for a little more camber etc....

If I am thinking of the same bump on carousel, I use the uphill side to get some left foot braking in. I use the crest of bump to help rotate the car. I agree. If I don't get it right, it gets messy.

Hope to see you there as well.

Not sure where you are located. There is a DE at Putnam Park, outside Indianapolis, at the end of October. It's not as interesting a track as Mid-Ohio, but still fun. These guys put on a very good school. I'll be doing the C classroom. If you can make it, it would be fun to meet.

Wish I could. I am in Philly area. Best bet is a DE somewhere in between.
