Huh, must not be able to PM because I just signed up with the free account? I've been lurking around here but your post sparked me to sign up. I haven't looked into the membership accounts yet.

I'm in Barrie Ontario. To put it directly--we are the snow belt of Ontario, which is sayin'--we get snow!
We consider NY to be semi-tropical.
Even still, I just took my car out of storage this weekend--and my car has never seen a flake of snow in its life (previous owner also stored it).
Right now in my area--There's snow in the woods, but none on the roads---just a bit of sand from the sand trucks in winter. I cant see how, if I can drive from early April to late October, you couldnt get at LEAST that much time in your car before the snow hit anywhere in NY.
Keep her!

I drive mine year round as well. Snow, rain and sun. These are great daily drivers and wonderful in the snow. I live at 6500 feet and we have received over 40 feet of snow at my house this year. The local ski areas that are only 15 minutes away have received as much as 800 inches at the 8000 foot level. I have only had a couple days this year stranded at home.

You keep that Turbo. For the most part it's Jan and Feb that you don't get a lot of driving in. That's when I choose to buy new carpets or other accessories for the car to keep my mind in the game. And when March comes it's almost over. So keep your car. You may have to take care of it more in terms of detailing and washing but that's half the fun.

Well, the Army changed their mind, it looks like I'm not going to NY anymore- moving back to NC- much better weather there
Now I just have to decide whether I want to keep the car before I head off to Aghanistan...

Spent many years at Bragg. No concerns now with taking the car, only with Dell showing you the ways of the slippery slope...............
