kevin...what's included in the stage 2 package. is it just the turbo and the ECU flash? what other upgrades are required..if any. what about engine internals? can the stock internals handle the extra power? this has always been my main concern when increasing the power of these engines...especially in a car that is not a garage queen.

no offense to the garage queens out there.

thanks, manny.

BTW Happy Holidays to all the rennlisters out there!!!!

Manny, turbochargers, programming, and 5bar FPR. If you don't have IMS noise issues all will be okay. I am very conservative with my programming approach. BTW, I feel that the limit for the stock rods is around 625HP to the wheels> it's actually the early RPM torque that we have to watch.

And torque is the key to Kevin's tunes and turbos... It's like driving a well sorted bigblock chevy in a Datsun 240Z... It's also the reason Kevin's chit is... Well, The chit!

How do those Turbo's compare the K24's on the X50 (996)?

Also, I just found a company that advertises in Excellence. They do TCU (Transmission) Upgrades for Tiptronics. Raises rev limit and shift points. Seems intriguing...but not sure if would be a waste after doing your ECU.

The Stage 2A/Stage 3 turbochargers have alot more output. This compressor wheel is running at 1.6 bars in a 997GT2. I have run these turbochargers up to 1.6 bars. The 997GT2 compressor wheel that is used in these turbochargers are very efficient.

Just got my UMW lightweight flywheel / clutch set up installed. Mmmmm, mmm.

The additional throttle response alone is just a little more dangerous than it was. I have a stage 2 upgrade on the way, i'm definitely digging it.
