Update of sorts.

Turbo clutch accumulator stopped working. Clutch pedal hard to press with engine off. Once engine running clutch action light again but with no accumulator I could feel the pump's pulses through the clutch pedal as I used the clutch.

Before I could get the Boxster out of the shop (in for VarioCam solenoid/actuator) the Turbo started showing signs of fluid leakage around the fluid reservior under the front driver's side cowl cover.

Literally dropped off the Turbo and at the same time picked up the Boxster.

Under the Turbo's CPO warranty the accumulator and clutch slave cylinder were replaced.

But with all the Boxster excitement I plumb forgot about the TSB. And I don't have the work invoice to see what accumulator part number used but the faint squeal noise is still present. It as before goes away when I depress the clutch pedal.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Confusing, isn't it!
My 03 Turbo just had its clutch accumulator and clutch slave cylinder replaced under CPO warranty.

Clutch accumulator part #: 997-314-166-00.

Clutch operating cylinder part #: 996-116-237-52.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Lucky you, Macster! I bought a box of syringes to move fluid from the front overflowing reservoir to the rear until I get a chance to change them. Did a fluidectomy today

I am lucky, at least I've been lucky with this CPO warranty on my 03 Turbo. I know I paid a bit more for the car than I might have otherwise what with the presence of the CPO warranty but the warranty has paid for itself several times over: new (replacement) tranmission; idler roller; new radiator fan assembly; new radiator; clutch accumulator; clutch slave cylinder.

Sincerely,

Macster.

I just had my power steering pump/resevoir replaced when my car was at carlsen. i did not even report any noise issues but the technician heard something whilst test driving my car for some other warrany work. The part is roughly $650 as i have the new 997 version throw in labor 4hrs and your looking at a bill of over $1100.

turned out my worn out gas cap was the culprit for the cel as air was getting into the fuel system as the rubber seal was worn on the gas cap! so strange! new gas cap no cel!

the cpo warranty really paid off so far, yes you pay a premium for the car but its headache free for 2 years essentially!
