That's what I thought. Palting of this forum whom I met last wknd. at M-O is running his X73 with gt3 control arms and some metal links and is running -2.5 in the front. I erroneously hoped it could just be done with some types of coilovers. Anyhow, i should not be reading these threads anyways, as I am happy with mt stock set-up...I am happy with my stock set-up....I am happy with my stock set-up...there, that ought to do it.......

Based on The Porsche ducumentation the X73 should go almost to -1 up front.
I can tell you that my car on stock suspension will not go more than -.6. we pushed the struts all the way in... by the way I am 1st in the list of people that will be buying the X73 from Dell when he upgrades to Motons/JRZs in the next few weeks.... just saying...

What a sec, you mean there are Porsche techs that don't know everything?

I've seen a few good ones but geez, I'm amazed by the lack of knowledge these guys have. As I have said before, I have had to tell them how to fix my car EVERYTIME!!!! THe only reason I let them do the work is it is warranty. If they would just do some research and WANT to get smart about these cars, then all would be right in the world.

I was able to obtain -1.0 on my stock 997tt, even more with lowering springs. The stock 997tt specs go to -.9, perhaps there is some difference between the 996 and 997 components?

I had -1.2ish with the x73 on my c4s, I seem to remember slots as well.
You should be able to get a little more I would think. GT3 adj control arms are the way to go for even more camber.

With GT3 control arms, PSS9s and Mode upper mounts I'm able to get well over 3 degrees negative in the front, and using adjustable dogbones in the rear I'm able to get plenty of rear camber, at least 3 degrees negative...

To do it right, you're not looking at a whole bunch of money to get there...

Wash, rinse, repeat...

Dell, you have been there...most of what worked on the GT3 will work on the 996TT!

Not going down that slippery slope! Just a few things here and there but not track items that kill the bank

...Famous, last, words...

Watching a DVR of Sebring and seeing Matt Einstein on track racing. When did that happen? I remember running with him at VIR and Watkins Glen a few years back!!!

I think that was his second time with ALMS Patron Series (Road Atlanta earlier this year). Haven't talked to him in quite some time but since we use the same race shop and my talks with them I know that he and Greg (owner os 3G Motorsports) have been swimming with the sharks.....and doing well!

My car's setup is similar to Mike's, and I see the same results. The split control arms in front and adjustable dog bones in the rear is going to cost less than $2k installed.

I like this setup because I can easily go between street and track alignments just using a counted number of turns on the adjusters.
