Snow tyres / snow chains?

Bless the man that invented winter tires. I have them on one of DD MB and driving in winter is fairly easy. The other MB has summer tires and slides/slips at the smell of snow.
Get yourself some skinny winter tires and u be good to go, or ones that fit u stock rims.

But I am fairly certain I'll delay the trip until next winter now, so I have time to get a bit more organised.

I use my 996 turbo to go skiing and I wouldn't go without snowchains (let alone without winter tyres).
Porsche recommends Dunlop Wintersport 3D and Pirelli Snowsport 240 for the 996 turbo (225/40/18 and 265/35/18). I have the Dunlops.
For snowchains I use the RUD Centrax. They are very easy to use and they fit on my car even though it is lowered by 40mm.
