Default New purchase... good deal?

I just purchased a 2001 996TT and i am wondering if i got a decent deal. It has 40k miles and i paid $38k. It also has 2 yrs left on a fidelity warranty (platinum). It has light weight flywheel and sport seats. It checked out well by a p-car mech.

high? low? or about right?

You got a good deal if you are happy.

Are you happy?

Wrong time to ask after you've made the deal. Rule #1 is after you buy a car avoid any discussion of price cause someone will always report buying same car for lot less money, or more common know of someone who bought same car for less. If you believe these reports you'll just let the news spoil your "new" car experience and why do that to yourself?

Even if everybody did a better deal than you nothing you can do about it now.

In this case ignorance is bliss.

Price sounds about right, though, so get off line and go enjoy the car!

Sincerely,

Macster.

This sounds very fair to me. It also seems like prices are stabilizing in the high 30s to mid 40s, depending on age, miles, and a select few options/warranty.

So many people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Just to make sure you really enjoy it with no buyer's remorse........YOU GOT THE DEAL OF THE CENTURY!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FOUND THAT CAR AT THAT PRICE - I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOREVER AND CAN'T COME ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THAT!!! WHAT A STEAL!!

Feel okay now? You bought a world class supercar for almost $100k less than the first dude who drove it off the dealer's lot - in my book, that's a great deal! Now never think about what you paid again.

I just purchased my car a month ago however I did not get a warranty. I think the price paid is very fair. Besides, like others have said, the important part is that you are satisfied with your purchase. Enjoy.
