Kevin gave me the same advice, and he was right. I had reached the same conclusion ("how can it be worth that much?"), and went with a Fabspeed.....that drones. AS

What about Speedtech exhaust? Does anyone have experience with their 70 mm high flow systems? It has optional "silencers" that you can slip on if you want to be less noisy--or you can go the full monty. They claim something like 40 hp increase. Sounds too goo to be true.

Fastboy,
I have direct experience with the Speedtech 70mm system and I will share my thoughts with you. The 70mm twin cannister exhaust is a very good system, a great value and does make 40AWHP over the stock exhaust on a modified car (there is a copy of the same day/same car dyno on the SpeedTech web site). And yes, it does have optional inserts to reduce the sound. This system does have a bit of drone, though. It's not bad, especially considering some of the drone I have heard, however, like most systems, it is there.
Our new 2.5 quiet cross-flow exhaust is virtually drone free and IMO sounds a lot better than our 70mm twin cannister version - at WOT the X-cellerator cross-flow has a fantastic GT3 type sound that is very thrilling to the ear. It is also a more flexible system, as it is modular and you can actually switch to optional bypass pipes in minutes for a track or timed event (or loud sound for a day) and then back to daily driver comfort very quickly and easily. Once you've done the swap once or twice, it only takes 5-10 minutes to go back and forth. Another performance advantage of the Speedtech X-cellerator cross-flow is the 100 cell race cats, which enable very quick turbo spool vs. 200 cell cats found on many exhausts. The 2.5 cross-flow is truly quiet and virtually drone free and our customers that desire those attributes have been extremely pleased with this system. The 2.5 was designed with the person desiring a "drone free system" in mind (I am one of them and I designed it).
It is also available in a 3.0 loud version, which offers a much more aggressive sound for those that want a louder system. Speedtech offers PCA and Rennlist member discounts, too.

C4, the exhaust system that you have pictured is the same one that is sold here..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories
This system is in it's second generation. This system is rebadged, renamed, and resold all over the world.
FYI the original design of this system "IS" the TechArt Race system, manufactured by SuperSprint (Italy).

I have had a Tubi on my car for 3 years and 15,000 miles with no problems.
One of the mufflers hangs lower than the other. That is my only gripe.
I called and emailed Champion about it and never heard back from them... Even after buying the car there.
I made the purchase before finding this forum. If I could do it over again I would look into the Europipe for sure!
