Speak to Damon at tirerack.com
But the amature answer is that based on Michelin pilot sport ps2 specs your rear would be 26.3 in and front (225 40 19) would be 26.1 or about a 1% difference. I have read that 4% is maximum difference permitted. Compare this to stock 18 in sizes; 25in rear 25.1in front. These cars tend to understeer and as I interpret tireracks charts you would have a .1 narrower front tire in the 19. Based on 225 vs 235, a 10mm difference or .2 inch. I like the look of 997TT wheels on 966TT, if you need spacers be sure to get appropriate lugs also. Good luck
6speedonline.com is a good resource

Gave up on 997 wheel. Like these better 8.5 and 11 x 19" Werks VS XX w/ 235/35 and 315/25 Pilot Sport PS2. Awesome handling, no loss of ride comfort and pretty quiet.
