I had an 2005 Audi S4 as a daily driver to my 2002 911 C4S. When the lease was up on the S4, I replaced it with a 2008 BMW M3 Sedan (I need a sedan for the family), I kept the C4S and have the best of both worlds

It's your call... I did the brakes on a buddies A4 and will never touch another Audi. I'm sure it's a nice car. I'd prefer to have a BMW or Benz if I'm doing a sedan "car". However, my fourdoor vehicle makes 550#ft. torque and pulls my car trailer! ![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
And there's no mistaking a 996TT... Can't say that for "just another 4door sedan.

I'm currently an Audi S4 owner - but have always wanted either a 2002-2004 996 Turbo or a 996 C4S. In my search for either of these vehicles it dawned on me that for about the same price I can get a 2007 Audi RS4 which has:
- 420hp
- AWD
- Still under factory warranty
- probably cheaper to maintain/repair
- cheaper to insure
Please talk me into the 996 - PLEASE!![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

The 996 Turbo is/was the top of the heap for Porsche, the very best street car they made/make. It is super fast, bullet proof and it is a bargain at todays prices with less downside. You can drive it everyday and other than not having the room of the RS4 it will do everything the RS4 will do at twice the pace.
Think about it, you can buy a 2004 that cost $150K new in the $50k - $60 range with very low miles. Here is an example on Auto trader.
$60,000
Mileage: 19,520
Used 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo X50 Package
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
An RS4 was a $72K car you can by for $45K - $50k - so which economic equation do you like better? The RS4 will continue to depreciate with miles, as will the Turbo, but less so as the price of a new turbo is so high. Plus if you look at Auto trader there are many RS4's for sale compared to the total number imported, way more than the Turbo, why is that?
If you need 4 doors get a e60 M5, better car, more room, faster, slightly less fun to drive but a real wolf in sheeps clothing. If you don't need a sedan then do yourself a favor and buy a 996 Turbo, it is one of the worlds best street cars and has everyday useability and blinding speed to boot.
They are simply not in the same league, but they are in the same price range!

The RS4 is better than the S4 but not by a lot. I would go with the C4S or M3 sedan
