I just bought one a month ago. By the way I had been looking for over a year! This is my opinion 9I could be Wrong . I think I paid a fair price for my "S" car, considering the economy, but it was NOT Cheap.

2005 Porsche Turbo S Cabriolet, 5k miles, Midnight Blue Exterior over Grey Leather, All options, + 3m Clear Bra, Stock, ALL Books Records (Original Window Sticker, Cert Of Authenticity, Birth Date etc.) and Accessories. Absolutely Mint! (from the Dealer who did the inspection)

The 2005 S has Gen 2 PCCB Brakes, this is a good thing!

The price is very much dependent on the following:

1) MILES (The absolute Number 1 decider in price period!)
2) Coupe or Cab ($10-20k)
3) Color (Rare colors are more expensive, Gray & Silver are the cheapest)
4) Obviously condition but closely related to MILES and most likely proportional.

If you want under 10k Miles You are going to Pay between $68k & $85k (Cab) depends on how bad the buyer wants out. If they are desperate, then you would need to worry about other things.

Tracked cars are worth the least, followed by heavily modded cars.

Stock or lightly (sensible) modded cars fetch the most.

Premium Options really do not seem to have a bearing on re-sale neither does being certified or not. Get an independent inspection it cost me $125 from a reputable Porsche dealer. They nit pick at everything no matter how minor. They can also tell whether it was tracked or not by looking at the ECU (DME).

Average New Sticker price to Look for when buying is $140 - $160 large. Get the original Windows Sticker.

A lot of folks will take the mods off the car to sell it. A good dealer will pick this up, The ECU logs flashes, red line overages etc., and other de-installations are obvious.

I hope this helps.

my local dealer (not a p-car dealer) had a 04 996 TT cab with 55k miles for $48k.

they don't have it anymore, this was in January/February. I assume they sold it
