Default PCCB crack.

I found today damaged edge of the disc into a PCCB first generation. The crack is less than 1 mm thick.
I havenīt noticed anything strange in the braking, or any noise.

Will I eat the pad?
Just fissures disk?
Is it appropriate to its rapid replacement?

****. This looks like it could chip further or brake off even as it is right over the hole. I would change, brakes are brakes mate. :-(.

Personally, I'd drive it like it was, and monitor it every 50-100 miles or so for the next 500
miles, and if it doesn't change in that time, I'd check in in another 500.

That's not a crack, but a chip.. This usually happens when changing rims.. Run it, and monitor it.

Is it on your rear?

It is the rear.
And I ordered changed the wheel three days ago as they chose with a nail.

It is dangerous to move in that state?

I'd just run it, minor chip. That's one of the main problems with pccb's.

Watch it and run it.. Replace it when it starts to spread or chip more around the perimeter.

I just sold a new set of rears for $4K

I thought there were special bolts to avoid these issues. Did you see them change the wheel? Did they use those guide bolts? Just curious.

I have the PCCB, I'm very careful with tire shops (I often just bring them the wheels). Unless the car is at a shop familiar with PCCB, you need to warn/explain as these are very big $$ discs.

No Jamie. I was not present at the workshop tires. I saw in the three days while cleaning tires. I have talked to say the workshop but knew nothing of the matter.

In the rear wheels canīt mount guide bolts already bearing nuts due to the 17 mm. distancers. We must remove them without help.
