Question Anyone getting the new GT2 Sport Seats?

The GT2's sport bucket seats in the new Porsche fold for access to the rear storage area.

They have fiberglass inner shell with Carbon Fiber outer shell. Look great, still allows for my kids to jump in the back without too much hassel...

Has anyone asked Porsche on availability and cost to retrofit to our cars?

I believe there are also some headaches to be had in disabling/removing the airbags. I wonder how much of a weight savings these provide.

They had a GT2 during Rennsport Reunion III at Daytona. You could not get in the GT2 to test them but they had a Cayman S with the seats for anyone to try them out. Very confortable seat that keeps you secured in tight corners.

I can't wait to get rid of my seats... these would be an ideal alternative.

According to the April 2008 parts list the seat parts are available but not the complete seat.

so what's the deal with these, if you have a GT2 there are no back seats, is it a comfort issue with the originals?, ok shoot me now had a second look at the photo above and realise they are a winner for retro fit. Would love to see more photos if anyone has some.

Cheers

or a way for porsche to make a ton of cash selling them to customers who want to retro fit them to there cars. I would buy them if I wanted access to my back seats.

I have no idea what these go for, but the 997 GT3's go for $11,000.00 a pair! (and are not reclinable, so I figure these are even pricier)-ouch!!!

that is ridiculous, you know how many sets of recaros or sparcos that is?!!? Or you could put a down payment on an investment property, or a down payment on a GT3 that someone already put those seats in!
