Default Experience With Superior Dash CF?

I'm looking for CF interior pieces for my 2001 996TT.

I know I'm probably going to get flamed for even looking at this type of dash, but does anyone have any experience with Superior Dash's carbon fiber pieces? I realize that they are of the 3M double sided tape genre, but for about $360, it might be worth a shot. Their sight says that their pieces are real carbon fiber or real wood (except for those noted).

Here's a link to the site and the corresponding pics:

I apologize in advance if this has been previously discussed. I could not find anything under Superior Dash using the search engine. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, don't know anything about the carbon fiber stuff, but I have a question for you. Where on Maui can you actually drive your turbo to it's potential? I heard the racetrack closed. The reason I ask is I'm planning on moving to Maui in a few years and I have a 996TT that I figured I'd have to sell before coming over. Isn't the speed limit on Maui 45 mph? What do you do with a turbo on the island?

Max speed limit on maui is 55 mph. Gotta be careful in Hawaii though...anything 30 mph over is an automatic 30 suspension of your DL. There are plenty of places to open up a high performance car: Honoapiilani Hwy to Lahaina, Haleakala Hwy going upcountry, Mokulele Hwy between Kihei and Kahului. You can't let living on a rock dictate that you only drive a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Maseratis, Lotuses, Porsches, AMG's, M-Bimmers all find happy homes on Maui. Do these automobiles truly open up to their true potential, probably not.

I personally haven't testeed the difference...but I have the factory installed CF, and a friend of mine has the aftermarket installed CF. His are de-laminating and coming apart. Mine are on an 02 X50 and I haven't had the steering wheel crack, or the bat wing or other parts come de-laminated. I don't know what to tell you except that maybe the factory stuff holds together a bit better? I may be up for some flaming if there are guys/gals out there who are seeing their factory stuff de-laminate.....dunno. All I can speak to is my personal experience. I keep the car garaged, put up sunscreens when in the open, and that's about it.

I have seen fact ones will crack, and yellow. many have had pieces replaced under warranty to crack and yellow repeatedly.

Take a close look at the coverage. They are relatively flat pieces and would only look good on the door speaker grills (IMHO).
As a fellow Renlister I'm asking you to please step away from the mouse and don't hit that "buy" button.

Thanks for the advice. I almost did hit that "BUY" button, but was trigger shy after reading some posts.

MAD POWER...

This includes all the useless and sometimes tasteless, non-factory pieces that people
buy and believe will somehow enhance thier Turbo "Experience":

Good Examples of Mad Power;

Forged Diverter Valves
Headers on a car with factory turbos
Cheap plasticky aftermarket interior parts
Loud obnoxious exhuast systems,
etc.

+1 on Macarbon, I got a ton of stuff from them, the quality is second to none. Some of the parts look even better than factory!
