Not entirely fair because the RT12 test was done by Road and Track on a different track at a different day. But sill impressive that Marty's Protomotive 700 did 190 mph at the Texas Mile.
Here are results from the Texas Mile combined with the Road & Track event in order of Top Speed at the mile. This is a standing start to one mile:
Autobahn Motorsports Supra -----------228 mph new record
SVS twin turbo Viper--------------------- 223
Heffner Ford GT tt------------------------ 222.2
Hennessey Viper tt ------------------------220.9
Eddie Bello's 964 ---------------------------219
Heffner Viper tt ---------------------------212
Saleen S7 tt -------------------------------205.7
Buggatti Veyron ---------------------------204.4
Lola Champ Car ---------------------------203.3
Lingenfelter Vette ------------------------- 203
Marty's 996 turbo Proto 700 -------------190.5
Evoms 997 tt 690R -----------------------187
RUF RT 12 -------------------------------- 187
RUF CTR Yellowbird ----------------------185.8
RUF R turbo -------------------------------180.2
All very impressive runs, there will be another Texas Mile event in March if anyone wants to go!
ps: I guess US tuners can't be all bad if they are beating RUF!

The best thing about it is that Marty's car (as awesome as it is) is running a relatively inexpensive bolt-on kit making only 700 BHP. Plus he's heavier and less aerodynamic than the RT-12.
None of the fully-built "big-dog" US 996TT's were even at the event. Had they been, they would have absolutely decimated the RT-12's 187 mph mark.
Scott aka "Divexxxtreme"
Protomotive RWD PE950R 996TT
830rwhp (950 BHP) @ 1.41 BAR
Best 1/4 Mile ET/MPH: 10.45/148 (on street tires)
60-130: 4.90 (2 shifts)
100-200 kph: 4.23

Thanks guys,
I look forward to next year and observing some of the big dog's hitting the Texas Mile
It really was alot of fun and I saw and talked to so many people there that are
incredibly capable tuners!!!!
Jason Heffner (twin turbo Vipers and Ford GT's)
Tommy Bahn (outright winner of the event in his outrageously powered Supra-nice young guy)
Todd Zuccone (The US leader in sales of Porsche aftermarket stuff!!)
Todd Knighton and his engine builder wife, Cynthia (My tuner and wisdom: affectionately called
the "Mad Scientist")
Eddie Bello (Builder and driver of his INSANE 911 Turbo that he drove there from Long Island, NY
and went 219 mph !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Needless to say, this was a phenominal event.
Best,
Marty K.
