After searching the forum and not coming up with anything I am hoping to find some help:

When I use the A/C with the A/C vents selected condensation forms on the outside lower portion of the windshield. The only way to utilize the A/C without this issue is to select the floor vents only. I am guessing there is a duct issue that is keeping the defrost duct open continuosly. The issue is annoying and inhibits visibility. Any suggestions besides leaving this swamp called Houston???

Allow fresh air only to circulate.

That is usually what I do. I am hesitant to use recir because I heard once in band camp that it causes mildew.

This is normal. In special conditions when glass is of a certain temperature (hot) and then cold air gets to it, results in condensation on the outside. You can not avoid it in any car. Thats just the way it is.

Manually change the air flow to the center vents only by selecting the center button (red arrow) on the right side of the upper console. If you want to add lower air flow, then select the lower button (yellow arrow). This will eliminate 99% of the condensation on the windshield. I have been using this set up for almost 2 years and have not had any condensation issues.

Run the center and top button together. hat should help. Does it happen with two people in the car or one?

You are aware that the moisture condensation is on the outside of the windshield?

Isn't the science that cold air, directed at your window, is causing high-humidity outside air to condence on the outside of the windshield? That happens in my car too, but is easily resolved by a quick hit in the wipers. It soon stops, tho we Hoosiers may not get as much humidity as you swamp folk in Texas.
Unless your mixing controls are far different than mine, I think you are stuck with it, unless you can block the up-facing dash vents. Doesn't yours stop after a while? I ask, as mine does. AS

IIRC, the POS Cayenne would use hot dehumidified air when defroster was selected, thus mitigating the issue AND greeting you with a hot air blast.

I tried the possibilty of using the center vents and upper vents. As expected the condensation was worse. I haven't noticed that the upper vent closed after any certain time. I'm guessing that it is just a flaw with the design. I was hoping to hear there may be something wrong with my ducts, or even better a simple button configuration fix.
