Default Evoms GT700 + new Hitachi MAF = HOLY CRAP!

I just got my car back with the new Hitachi MAF and ECU retuned. As others with a GT700 and this MAF have stated it really ROCKS! The main thing seems to be that the power doesn't drop off in the upper RPMS or higher gears now! It just keeps pulling and pulling.

I highly recommend this mod to any GT700 owners! Thanks EVOMS!

My old MAF must have been going for a while because I had really started to be unimpressed with my GT700. Now this thing is scary fast again, breaking the tires loose in 2nd gear even in 70 degree temps.

I love my GT700 again, I can't imagine Scott and Mark with another 200 rwhp!

Is low-end torque unchanged?

It has got to be a great improvement (well past due).

Congrats Buddy and go get them!

bud, have you taken your car to a road course/track and driven at length? curious, how the GT700 would last before it started to heat soak.

OT: Oak and Buddy
I know MY answer: after 10 laps at Road America, I saw NO appreciable loss of straightaway
speeds. 155 easy MPH on front straight with very early conservative breaking.
10 laps x 2:40 is 26.6 HARD minutes of flat out driving!! I have very good Intercoolers!

MK

BTW: wish you would have been there Buddy, met several guys from Michigan.

Buddy, happy for you. Any data before and after that would quantify the butt dyno improvement?

Marty, what boost were you running at the track? Did you have a datalogger?

Thanks Alex! You will like the new GT3RS BTW, not quite as fast as one of these mad turbos on the track but instead of acceleration rush, get ready for some serious lateral/braking grip fun.

Yeah on the one hand it is nowhere near as fast when you step on it but on the other hand I'm not going to go to jail lol I haven't gotten mine yet- should be in a few days but the other ones I've driven did put a smile on my face for sure Really, really great car even if it's missings turbos..

Oak,

Yes 20 minute DE sessions at Grattan Raceway and no noticeable loss in power.

Jean,

No I don't have a before and after data this is strictly butt dyno, but anyone with the GT700 that has done the Hitachi MAF says the same thing.
